The typical gym member works cardio, or lifts weights–maybe both. Yet, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the preeminent organization promoting the scientific study of exercise and health, describes five aspects to good health and fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body fat composition, and flexibility.

Asians have known for centuries that equally important to the mind/body complex is the life force, or qi (pronounced chee). Chi is as essential to life as oxygen and the blood which carries it to all our tissues and organs. Totally ignored by Western medicine, the East has developed wonderful, miraculous methods to diagnose and maintain qi balance and health, including pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, shiatsu, herbs, qigong, Reiki and taijiquan (tai chi chuan).

Andy Sinn is expert at QiGong, Reiki, and martial arts and their application to improve health. He services the Fairfield County, CT area, especially Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford and neighboring communities.
